The First Land-Rover in India

Pune, India – luxury car manufacturer Jaguar Land Rover to open assembly plant in India. The factory is located in Pune, Maharashtra India will assemble the Land Rover Freelander 2 in the form of Complete Knock Down (CKD).

As reported by the official Land Rover site, the construction of this plant can be realized as a result of Tata Motors’ acquisition of Jaguar Land Rover on 2 years ago.

“The construction of this plant is a significant step for our Indian market. The opening of the plant showed the close cooperation between the parent company of the Tata Motors and Jaguar Land Rover,” said Carl-Peter Forster, Chief Executive Officer and MD of Tata Motors.

Freelander 2 will be available in two variants namely the SE TD4 HSE Automatic Automatic and SD4. There price is priced starting Rs 33.89 lakh approximately 640 million rupiah.
