Pajero Sport Produced in Bangladesh
In Indonesia, the Pajero Sport fully imported from Thailand. In contrast to Bangladesh, Mitsubishi Pajero Sport will produce locally there. Nikkei newspaper and quoted by Reuters, said the Pajero Sport will be manufactured at the Mitsubishi plant in Chittagong, Bangladesh.
Mitsubishi will cooperate with Progoti Industries Ltd., a company owned by the Bangladesh government has partnered with Mitsubishi since the late 1970s. Bangladesh’s company so far has been a long time to assemble the Pajero models under the guidance of Japanese technicians.
Nikkei reported, spare parts will be SUVs imported from Thailand. In addition to making Pajero Sport, Mitsubishi is also seeking the possibility to work on Mitsubishi sedans there.
Although classified as a poor country, Bangladesh, including countries with high economic growth which is 6 percent. Car market is still small, but has a high potential considering the total population of 150 million. Mitsubishi sales there were up 55 percent to 1,800 units in 2010.
